About this release

Candy Rain delivers a euphoric and physically soothing high alongside moreish tastes of butter, lavender, sugar, and pear. The strain’s strong parentage makes her accessible to most growers, and a moderate THC content makes her a great strain for most times of the day. History of the Candy Rain Cannabis Strain Candy Rain stems from a breeding project conducted by Cookies Fam, one of the largest and most well-known cannabis companies in the world. Founded by rapper and business entrepreneur Berner and Californian breeder Jai, the seed bank set out with the goal of creating a hard-hitting and flavorful pool of genetics. Currently, the company has built up a library of 70 proprietary cultivars, alongside 2,000 other products. Among their strains, Candy Rain stands out as an exceptionally tasty variety. With a plan to create something scrumptious and euphoric at the start of the breeding project, Cookies Fam growers carefully selected parent genetics that would pass down sugary and fruity terpenes as well as euphoric and relaxing effects. Since its release, Candy Rain has gained serious traction, and many growers flocked to this strain after its win in the Indoor Flower category at the Oregon Grower’s Cup. Genetic Lineage of Candy Rain So, where exactly did Candy Rain inherit its scrumptious tastes and desirable effects from? Well, to kickstart the proceedings, Cookies Fam breeders elected to use Gelato as the first parent strain. Gelato itself was brought into the world by legendary breeder Mr Sherbinski, a master cultivator and geneticist credited with creating some of the best weed strains available, from Sunset Sherbet to Mochi. When it came to creating Gelato, he paired parent varieties Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC. The former passed down happy and giggly effects, rewarding yields, and sweet and tropical flavors, whereas the latter provided terrific trichome density and flavors of mint and sweetness. Overall, Gelato clocks in with a moderate THC content of 17%.
