Erdbeer No. 2, also known as "Jurabeeri", came onto the Swiss market in the mid-2000s as a clone-only strain. It had similar characteristics to the original Erdbeer, only instead of the dark, thick, short, fleshy indica leaves of the real Erdbeer, it had long, thin sativa leaves. Its yield was higher, the buds correspondingly larger, but not as extremely rock-hard as the original Strawberry, but still very dense. The scent is slightly different, more fruity and skunky. It was also not as mould-resistant as the original and took about 1-2 weeks longer to ripen. Nevertheless, it has enjoyed and continues to enjoy great popularity to this day, certainly also because, unlike the original strawberry, it can also be grown indoors. We suspect that the Jurabeeri was crossed with a Skunk, as Skunk was enormously popular at that time and the characteristics of the Jurabeeri suggest such a cross. But this is not certain. After a long search and trial and error, Helvetic Seeds has now managed to bring a feminised version of this clone-only strain back onto the market.
