However, the strain's origins date back to 2014, when breeder and founder of Sherbinskis, Mario Guzman, decided to cross his iconic Sunset Sherbet with Thin Mint Cookies—a special GSC cut with a fresh, earthy mint aroma. After crossing these two titans of modern weed and hunting through hundreds of different phenos, Guzman stabilized several Gelato varieties, the most famous of which is Gelato #41, according to the Sherbinskis brand.
