"Kompolti" is a Hungarian variety, cultivated throughout Europe. It is the most widespread Hungarian variety. It is the result of the selection work carried out more than 20 years by an expert geneticist such as prof. Bócsa. It was made with the combination of Chinese, Hungarian and probably Italian materials, characterized by a high level of vigor and wide adaptability to different environments. It is a genetics developed to produce biomass but produces satisfactory quantities also in terms of seed and inflorescence.
