About this release

Lineage: Mendocino Purple x Bubba Kush Mendocino Purple Kush was originally created in 2006, when the original Bubba Kush clone was reversed and used to pollinate a select Mendocino Purple clone. The following year, a small batch of seeds was popped by Red Beard of Tigard Farms / CSI: Portland, who quickly selected two standout phenotypes he named “Obama Kush” and “George W. Kush.” The Obama cut, in particular, went on to gain strong popularity throughout the Pacific Northwest, earning a reputation as a true top-shelf cultivar wherever it circulated. This hybrid has been unavailable for years and is returning only because a limited number of packs were released from a private reserve. Once these are gone, they will not be reproduced, as none of these hybrids are remade. Growers are strongly encouraged to take clones and hunt for keeper phenotypes from this iconic, foundation-level cross. Flowering Time: 7–9 weeks indoors. Early October outdoors
