Grow Type: Greenhouse or Outdoors A large farmhouse plant from the Dhaulagiri (White Mountain) and Dorpatan region of Western Nepal. Known as "bhongi" to local farmers, these are large hardy plants with great resistance to cold and disease. Farmers use these plants for production of charas, as well as for seeds and fibre. Dominant aromas are strongly citrus. Charas is produced by the ancient hand-rubbing method and is known locally as "atar".
