Oreoz, also known as Oooze, is a marijuana hybrid developed in the USA. Its name derives from the famous biscuit due to its similar aroma profile, a claim corroborated by those who have sampled well-cured buds of this strain. Oreoz is a creation of 3rd Coast Genetics, bred from Secret Weapon and Cookies & Cream. As part of the Cookies family, Philosopher Seeds now presents it in S1 format: Oreoz x Oreoz. This Indica dominant plant exhibits high vigour and pest resistance, adapting easily to outdoor, greenhouse, and indoor cultivation. It has wide leaves and a compact growth structure. During the early flowering stage, it doubles in size easily, requiring only a short vegetative period. At the end of flowering, its leaves often develop very dark hues, even black, and become heavily coated with resin. Its large calyxes feature stigmas with orange and red tones, giving it an attractive appearance. When cultivating Oreoz, it is advisable to stake the main branches. Its dense, heavy flowers require approximately 60 days of flowering to reach optimum ripeness. Outdoors, harvesting can be done by early October. When grown in open ground with ample direct sunlight, yields can exceed 600g per plant. Midway through flowering, it is crucial to maintain proper humidity levels to prevent mould, as the flowers are highly compact. Cultivating this strain is rewarding for its exceptional resin and organoleptic qualities, making it ideal for producing extractions and concentrates. Indoors, Oreoz S1 thrives under high PPFD levels during flowering (800–900 μmol/m²/s), appreciating intense light. To preserve its organoleptic properties and maximise terpene retention, it is advisable to reduce the PPFD during the final 15 days before harvest.
