Ortzadar is another standout release from the team at Bask Triangle Farms, the breeders behind Bazkittlez — one of my personal favorites of the past year. While detailed information about Ortzadar is scarce, it appears to be rooted in Zkittlez lineage, which comes as no surprise given Bask Triangle Farms’ clear preference for working with Z-forward genetics. The name Ortzadar means “rainbow” in Basque, an ancient Iberian language spoken in northern Spain. The reference likely nods to the familiar “taste the rainbow” slogan, often associated with candy culture — a playful connection considering how dominant Zkittlez-inspired varieties have become. Ironically, Skittles candy itself isn’t particularly widespread in Spain, yet Zkittlez-based cannabis strains are hugely popular. As is often the case with cannabis in Spain, the exact grower remains unknown due to its informal market status.
