History of Triangle Kush Triangle Kush (also known as Triangle OG or OG Triangle) is a rare indica-dominant hybrid accidentally created in the 1990s by Marty TK Calabrese, currently the founder of the TK Origins cannabis brand. After getting introduced to weed through his surfer friends as a teenager, Marty started dealing and eventually growing his own plants at a very young age. In 1989, Marty traveled to Amsterdam with his fellow growers to source seeds for their operation. Among the strains they brought back with them was Hindu Kush. One day in the grow room, Marty realized that one of his Hindu Kush plants had produced pollen. Despite removing the plant, at harvest time, Marty and his partner realized that the pollen had spread to all the plants in the room, including some Emerald Triangle females that were growing in the same space. To cut their losses, Marty and his partner sold as much of the seeded weed as they could.
