Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Afghan Peach

Afghan Peach by Oni Seeds is a feminised cannabis variety created from high quality American genetics, SSSC M69, a selection of Afghan landrace, crossed with Papaya, resulting in a flavourful, potent and high-yielding cannabis hybrid that will captivate growers and smokers alike. The growth of Afghan Peach is vigorous and branchy, and thanks to its genetic heritage it's an easy plant to cultivate, readily adapting to the different growing techniques, substrates and cultivation systems. This variety exudes a powerful aroma, leaving a smell of fresh fruit in the room during cultivation. It is at mid bloom that its scent becomes really intense and gives off a rich and complex terpene profile. At this point, the buds will also begin to thicken and become resinous. At the end of flowering the buds will be dense and highly resinous, making it a perfectly adapted strain to carry out resin extractions. Indoors, Afghan Peach is ready to harvest after 63 to 70 days flowering, giving a medium to high yield of about 500g per m2, while outdoors it can produce more than 1000g per plant under good growing conditions and can be harvested in October. Its taste and smell are composed of a fruity bas
