Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Sativa 100%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Africanna

An elite Angola Red female from la mano negra (lmn) stock is crossed with our select Colombian Black male from Breeder’s Choice Organization stock. The Angola Red was the result of a 2 yr pheno hunt by our very own scabtreescabby. Expect vigorous sativas with lots of buds. Stinky plants with nice up up and creative highs that smell floral, citrus, green pea and potpourri. 12-16 wks
