Chemotype genetics-true
Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About AK Kush Express
The prefix "express" in the name is added for a good reason. These varieties are remarkable because they give a good harvest feminized plant two weeks earlier than its counterparts. Express strains aren't autoflowering strains. Absolutely unique seeds, novelty on the world market, and in order to avoid counterfeits Kalashnikov don't fully specify the genetics in the description of those varieties. This is basically AK Kush fem, only a much more rapidly growing and flowering version of it. The new strain is genetically is composed by breeding the common AK Kush with Kalashnikov's secret Express hybrid. The result is a bit sweeter and aromatic than its feminized variation and it's very much more Indica-like. It can be harvested two weeks prior to AK Kush common harvesting period, yet the amounts of production stay massive.
