Grow Difficulty Intermediate Growth Odour Medium One glance at the Mephisto catalogue to date will tell you all you need to know about how much we love both sweet and fruity strains and that classic OG funk and shape. Appletizer is just the strain we were hoping to create, expanding our options with an all-new flavour profile and handing out nap times like a Jean-Claude Van Damme spin-kick directly to the prefrontal cortex. So as we scoured the depths of the cannabis interwebz for what our next photo-to-auto project would be, a couple of keywords kept cropping up: ‘Glitter Apples’ and ‘Alien Genetics.’ We’ve known of Alien Genetics for a long time, knowing full well that the amount of work they put into their Sour Apple IBL line is just as we do with our own Artisanals. We grew out a sample of their Glitter Apples and we were, quite frankly, blown away. We knew this was just what we were looking for to expand the flavour profile of our own catalogue. We paired Glitter Apples with a tightly held Samsquanch OG F4 specifically set aside for future Artisanal projects. We’ve always been incredibly proud of the Samsquanch project; it’s a productive strain that’s bursting with flavour and has sadly been underutilised by us for breeding work since it was first released. We acquired our first batch of Glitter Apples seeds in 2018 and grew them out instantly, despite us knowing exactly what we wanted to do with the strain almost as soon as it poked its head above soil, the Mephisto world got a bit complicated in late 2018 and the world at large even more so at the beginning of 2020.
