Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Atomic Blue Dream
Atomic Blue Dream Feminized is a cross between Chernobyl and Blue Dream. The result is a true 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid known for its imposingly tall stature and equally impressive yields. This strain’s genetic lineage is a true who’s-who of cannabis legends; Blue Dream is the offspring of Blueberry and Haze while Chernobyl is a descendant of the Trainwreck which combines Thai sativas with Afghan indicas.

While its genetics are a balanced 50/50 split, the growth pattern and effects of this strain are distinctly sativa. These plants can grow into absolute monsters and may not be particularly well-suited for indoor growers with limited headroom. However, growers with the space (or just enough dedication) will find this strain to be especially rewarding come harvest time.
