Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Baikal Express
The prefix "express" in the name is added for a good reason. These varieties are remarkable because they give a good harvest feminized plant two weeks earlier than its counterparts. Express strains aren't autoflowering strains. Absolutely unique seeds, novelty on the world market, and in order to avoid counterfeits Kalashnikov don't fully specify the genetics in the description of those varieties. This world's best rapid variety has been created by crossing Kubanskiy Ubiyza (Kuban killer) with Sativa strains from Far East from the region of Lake Baikal. One of the most notable things about Baikal Express is its haze flavor with lemon taste reminiscent of "Kuban Killer", but more sugary-sweet. Preserving the psychoactive qualities of Sativa, it blooms a lot quicker and faster. Its flowering period is only 45-55 days providing the grower a large production of high quality flowers. Strain that is very powerful, very resistant to the elements and is fast growing (and hitting) as a lightning!
