Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Banana Buckeye

A fantastic gifted cut of a special pheno of OrgnKd Banana OG was pollinated by keeper Buckeye Purple male. Mother is highly resinous with a sweet banana smell that intensifies near harvest. The Buckeye Purple father influence has produced phenos ranging from earthy grape to banana with subtle shades of pinks and purples in the harvested flowers. Expect a vigorous veg from most phenos, with the exception being heavy Buckeye Purple leaners. Look for flowering times that range from 8-10 weeks
