Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Bay Burger

Bay 11 was the absolute best Sativa of the year 2011 and together with the fab Indica called Donny Burger she brings absolutely fantastic smells to every grower's garden. When you grow Bay Burger for the first time, you will immediately see that it is a mostly Indica. The structure of this plant is reminiscent of classic Afghan strains and the structure is typically Indica: fat and very bushy! And as is usual for Indicas, this strain is very easy to grow, so it is also highly recommended for (still) novice growers. Bay Burger smells deliciously of lemons and fresh forest, rounded off with bombshell metallic Kush, an exquisite treat for any cannabis lover
