Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Behemoth

This is a selected Crocketts Haze which formed spectacularly sized colas from the bottom to the top of the plant. It was crossed with our early maturing Blueberry in order to reduce the flowering time for outdoor growing in Canada. The sativa effect is dominant in this one; the perfect strain for a hike, bike ride or garden work
