Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Betsy
Old Betsy is an old-school San Diego Sativa hybrid. It was brought to Humboldt County in early 2000 by an OG Overgrow member: Budular. It quickly began to gain popularity among outdoor growers because of the extremely frosty, large yielding and it has pungent skunky dank tropical fruit aromas. I have worked the original clone heavily into seed form and am extremely happy with the results. Indoor, a carbon filter is advised due to the intense, pungent aromas.
