Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 50%Sativa 50%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Big Bertha
Big Bertha is a hybrid cross of a pure Burmese strain and a North Indian Indica. It is the largest yielding strain held in the Reeferman strainbase, producing huge yields of marijuana with a very strong acidic smell. The buds have an indica structure and taste of old school skunk. Reeferman once got 3.5lbs of dried marijuana of one plant produced from a random Big Bertha Seedling! Genetics: Burmese Sativa x North Indian Indica
Flowering Time: 10 Weeks
