Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Bio-Diesel

Bio-Diesel is an evenly balanced hybrid (50% indica/50% sativa) strain created by breeders at the infamous Denver Relief farms in Colorado. This dank bud is a cross between the insanely popular Sour Diesel X Sensi Star strains and took 1st place in the 2009 Annual Colorado Medical Marijuana Harvest Cup. The average THC level of this bud ranges from 20-24% and the CBD level is about 1% on average, making this strain ideal for medical use. Bio-Diesel has an earthy sweet and spicy taste with a hint of diesel upon exhale and an aroma of earthy sweet diesel. The buds have dark olive green, fluffy nugs that are still insanely dense with purple undertones and leaves. The nugs are flecked with long, thin amber hairs and a layer of caked on trichomes. Users describe the Bio-Diesel high as one that is stimulating yet meditative without leaning towards a more sativa or more indica experience. After smoking this bud, you'll be wide-awake, euphoric and motivated for several hours before fading into a relaxing body high. Due to these balanced effects, Bio-Diesel is an ideal strain for treating patients suffering from conditions such as PTSD, chronic pain, and chronic stress
