When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Sharp, saw blade serrations are characteristic of 9lb. Hammer, while softer, rounded serrations are characteristic of Blackjack. Further, sporadic duel serration is Blackjack's trait.
