Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Black Cauldron
Black Cauldron was a clone only phenotype from an off shoot project with Merlot OG in 2010.
This project is one of the strains we are working with to get heavy deep colors while still delivering a strong Indica effect. With a cross into Wizards Potion and back into our Purple Merlot Pheno this strain has resulted in tight, dense flowers, large fan leaves and colorful phenotypes.
