Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Black Yeti is a select UDBX2 ( sativa leaning phenotype that carried all the desired traits of the LF UD ) X LF Vietnam Black sativa male. The LF Vietnam Black originally came from the now defunct Federation Seeds. Growers can expect vibrant colorful and often black as night sativa plants. They will finish around ten weeks of flower with some phenotypes taking an additional week or two.
