When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The buds and leaves are absolutely covered in trichomes. Some were old school green Sour types, but most had pink and purple colors coming from the Blue Steel.
