Blue Cheddar #1 is the result of a breeding project between B-S-B Genetics and Kaliman Seeds. We sent Rockster a batch of regular Blueberry seeds from the Dutch Passion collection which originates from an original 1970’s Blueberry phenotype. Blueberry pollen was introduced to the Cheese #1 (true 1989 un-hybridised UK Exodus Cheese) and vice versa Cheese #1 pollen was introduced to the Dutch Passion Blueberry ladies. The hybridisation was most succesful when the Blueberry pollen was applied to the female Cheese #1 which resulted in a consistant batch of feminised seeds after a rigourous selection process. The resulting “Blue Cheddar #1” strain is a heavy yielding variety with an intense and powerful stone that produces a sweet Blueberry taste with the pungent aroma of Cheese meaning carbon filtration is essential for indoor grows.
