Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The reason for this cross is because I thought my selection of Dosi Punch could add some stretch, vigor and frost to that unknown Bubba clone and give her an update. My hopes were in finding a fast finishing plant with blueberry terps on a more stretched out frame than my original Bubba clone.
