Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 30%Sativa 70%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About C5 Haze x Papua New Guinea
C5 Haze x Papua New Guinea Sativa is a legendary, sativa-dominant polyhybrid built from one of the most influential cannabis lines of all time. At its core is Neville’s original C5 Haze (NL#5 × Haze C), the direct genetic mother of Jack Herer and Super Silver Haze, originally selected in the late 1980s by Neville himself and carefully preserved by YoSammy.
This elite Haze clone was pollinated by a broad selection of more than 30 second-generation Papua New Guinea sativa males, creating an exceptionally diverse and vigorous hybrid. With an 80% sativa / 20% indica profile, this variety is known for its towering growth, strong heterosis-driven vigor, and extended flowering cycle.
Phenotypic expressions vary widely. Plants showing stronger NL#5 influence tend to flower faster and are more manageable, making them better suited for indoor cultivation. In contrast, the more pronounced Haze × Papua New Guinea expressions excel outdoors, particularly in tropical and subtropical climates, where their size and long flowering potential can be fully expressed.
The terpene profile is complex and classic, combining pine, citrus, floral, herbal, and woody notes. Effects are intense and expansive,
