Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Candy Ice
CANDY ICE is our latest addition to our regular seed selection, and this strain gives our CANDY GLUE a run for it’s money as CANDY GLUE is our top selling regular strain. CANDY ICE was created by cross breeding GREEN FIRE GENETIC’S GORILLA GLUE#4 X ZKITTLEZ with our NL#5 X CRITICAL and the results were outstanding. This strain ticks every box for every type of gardener from novice to expert growers. We found 80% of pheno’s was Indica dominate which produce’s amazing yield’s (800 – 1000 grams square meter), with a typical main cola bud that is impressive in size and is very compact and dense and packed with trichomes that the buds, as if they are sparkling, which is not common with the great flavor strains on the market. The Flavor is very sweet, fruity, and scrumptious and slightly earthy.
