Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Caramella

This is a variety with big fat tops, long colas and with a lovely fresh caramel smell. This variety has been bred for the last 15 years with lots of success. This Indica/Sativa hybrid is crossed back and selected on taste and a high calyx/leaf ratio. Good yield, uplifting High, easy to grow and a lot of crystals, a beatiful plant! To optimize Caramella’s flavors, make sure you choose fertilizers wisely and only use them moderately, cause they can have a damaging effect on the taste. Over-fertilizing makes the smoke harsher on the lungs, and turns the sweet caramel taste into a more acrid chemical-like flavor. Fantaseeds recommends about 20 plants per square meter when grown with a sea of green method. Parents: CO #5 x NU #8 Type: 80% Indica/20% Sativa
