Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About CBD Pure
Pure Seeds has developed a new strain rich in Cannabidiol from an African Sativa with high THCV content, thus creating CBD Pure, a cannabis variety with 1:1 THC:CBD ratio and high medicinal value. CBD Pure comes then from crossing this pure African plant (never hybridised before) with a CBD parent, achieving a mostly Sativa offspring that develops thin chalices and a great amount of small, bright trichomes. Its flowering lasts for about 60 days, developing abundant harvests of buds with minty, aniseed and Haze notes. It has 8% THC and 9% CBD.
