Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About CBG Kush
CBG Kush is the first pure CBG strain from Nativ Canna with an excellent THC:CBG ratio of around 1:100. While the total THC content （THC+THCa） usually remains below 0.1% THC, the plants reach a CBG content of up to 10%. Since strict THC limits apply in many countries, it is possible with this very low-THC strain to grow cannabis within a legal framework - for private and commercial growers. CBG Kush is an indica dominant strain that produces smaller to medium tall and very bushy plants with strong side branches and compact buds. The strain has a slight autoflowering tendency in its genes, making it an ideal outdoor strain. Under ideal circumstances, plants will be mature as early as mid-September, so there's less to worry about cold snaps and mold problems. The plants form a strong pre-flower relatively early, but remain stable in growth if they are regularly transplanted into larger pots. Indoors, the plants can already be harvested after about 7-8 weeks of flowering. The flowers smell in a pleasant spectrum from sweetish orange to spicy notes.
