When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Cheese x Purple Punch
This variety combines two internationally known genetic lines recognised for their different and at the same time complementary characteristics. On the one hand Exodus Cheese, a Skunk #1 selection created in the 90's in the United Kingdom. It owes its reputation to an intoxicating taste as complex as it is original, to its euphoric and cheerful high effect. Cheese is also highly appreciated by growers for its ease of cultivation, productivity and fast flowering. Cheese is a well-branched plant with a stretch that doubles in size once in the flowering stage. It is easily adapted to the SCROG method. The harvest is ready after about 8 weeks of flowering, with a yield of up to 600g per m2. It is resistant to pests and copes well cultivation errors. It is a good candidate for novice growers without giving up a premium harvest. On the other hand Purple Punch, a cross between Grand Daddy Purps and Larry Og. It is very popular in the United States for its fruity and sweet aroma and purple colours. This Indica dominant hybrid has a fast flowering although it is less productive than the Cheese variety. It produces very dense buds, with large and fleshy calyxes completely covered with resin.
