Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Chem D

Chem D from Apothecary Seeds is a cannabis strain created from the Chemdog lineage to offer the best traits of this genetics. By crossing the Chem'91 and Chemdog D (both coming from the original batch of seeds) we find a plant with Indica structure, bushy and branched. This version of Chem D develops lots of side branches, thus being perfect for the SCROG technique. It reaches average heights. Yields are around 350gr/m2 of super resinous flowers, what makes it ideal for making medicinal grade cannabis concentrates. It is ready to harvest after 10 weeks of flowering. The effect is happy and positive, also relaxing and suitable to treat pains and stress. The flavour is sour, intense, with earthy and sweet notes. Chem D from Apothecary Genetics features: Type: Regular seeds Mostly Indica strain Indoor Flowering: 10 weeks Outdoor Harvest: Early October Yield: up to 350gr/m2
