Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Cherry Dream
Cherry Dream Edition, an Indica dominant (90's Afghani x Cherry)
Cherry Dream Edition is an Indica dominant hybrid. This plat is the cross between, on the one hand a 90's Afghani marijuana, a landrace from Afghanistan remarkable for its aroma, effects and resin production, and on the other hand a Cherry selection, fruity, sweet and with reddish tones. It is a plant that develops vigorously, with an Indica hybrid appearance with strong and solid branches, and internodes at medium distance. It is an ideal variety to use apical pruning and SCROG cultivation, thus maximising its bud production. It is grateful and easy to cultivate, offering good results provided with a favourable climate, plenty of sunshine and a sufficient nutrient supply. By using cannabis organic fertilisers, its aromas and flavours are enhanced to the maximum, making it tastier and sweeter. Cherry Dream Edition, fruity, floral and relaxing
It offers a medium harvest, with a yield of about 450g per m2 in an indoor grow tent, and a yield of up to 500g per plant outdoors in a large pot or open ground. It has a fairly fast maturation, and is ready to harvest after about 60-65 days of flowering. It acquires dark green,
