Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire is an indica Dominant Hybrid strain created as a potent cross between the popular strains `88 G13 Hashplant x Banana Hammock x Ancient OG. Unlike most typical indica dominant strains, Chicago Fire can produce a sativa like uplifting euphoric head high that is then followed by a heavy intoxicating body high. The aroma from this potent cross can vary between a sweet citrus smell with hints of pine, or very dank gas with hints of sweet mangos. The flower from this cross can be light or dark green, and gets the name “Chicago Fire” because of the production of very bright orange hairs that fills in the frost covered buds. This is a very interesting cross that can be grown rather easily and is extremely beginner friendly. This strain can be beneficial for patients suffering from mild to moderate symptoms of Depression, chronic pain, stress, and appetite loss
