Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 50%Sativa 50%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Chitral Orange
Like Fruit Basket, Chitral Orange produced a very intense and long-lasting aroma, particularly in the citrus/orange spectrum. It is a cross between the legendary Tangie #9 (Super Orange phenotype) and a MalawiPCK male from ACE Seeds. Depending on the phenotype, the colors also varied between green and purple. Due to the slightly shorter flowering time of the Tangie mother, which averages 55-63 days, and the MalawiPck, which tended to be in the range of 70-77 days, Chitral Orange showed beautifully mature flowers after about 63-70 days and outdoors in early November. The strain is very resistant to pests and mold, which is why it is also well suited for outdoor cultivation
