THC-dominant

Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Chocolate+

Indica25% Sativa 75% Flowering in Interior 10 weeks. Flowering outdoors November. Very High Production, more than 1Kilo. Aromas of bitter chocolate, nuts or almonds with sweet nuances, this selection of the mythical Chocolope from DNA Genetics, that after crossing it with one of our males, we have achieved more reasonable flowering times. All this without losing any of that characteristic flavor and even improving production a bit more. It is recommended not to give much time of growth in interior, to not have problems of size arrival the flowering. The grip and tutorado of the plants is very recommendable also, because it develops big and heavy buds that will cause that the plant is doubled, if previously it was not seized or tutors well. A great producer of enormous buds loaded with resin
