Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 50%Sativa 50%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Chocomel Cough
Female: Chocolate Rain is a very interesting work from Eskobar Seeds. It is a F1 hybrid between Chocolope (aka D-Line) and DJ Short's Cocoa Kush (male). We made a selection and found a mostly Sativa female that produces crazy amounts of resin, although her yield is average-low. We also found several individuals with a surprising milk chocolate scent.
Male:
Thanks to our wide selection of Caramel Cough, we've found several interesting males. For this cross we've used one phenotype with strong Indica features and a delicious acid strawberries smell, the Caramel Cough #13.
Description:
Regular seeds
50/50 hybrid
Flowering: 75 days
Yield: Average (400gr/m2)
Stretch: x4-5
We used very smelly parents to develop this hybrid, looking to discover new combinations of flavours. The results are doubtless surprising. Yields are average, harvesting more than 350-400gr/m2 is difficult. The calyx-to-leaf ratio is high and one can find truly interesting plants with incredible organoleptic properties.
