Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 100%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Chunky Balls

This is our continuation of Deep Chunk, a true-breeding Californian indica rooted in Afghanistan. This is a 100% indica line, never been outcrossed to other strains. Chunky Balls grows with wide leaflets that are dark green in color and leather like in texture. The buds are rock hard nuggets, somewhat leafy and they produce incredible amount of resin. This variety produces a wide range of aromas, pine, gasoline, herbal and earthy. The high is strong body sensation, real couchlock effect. The plants flower fast, produce medium yields and they are suscepTible to fungal diseases. Useful tool for breeders and growers who are looking for a pure indica strain without any sativa influence
