Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About CMAC

Mother: MAC1 (Cap's cut) Father: Cherry OG bx Type: 50/50 hybrid Flowering time: ~62 days While working on #project_cherry, I had some extra clones of MAC1, so I added it to the seed-making mix. The MAC1 mother did not yield many seeds, only about 30 in total, so if this strain ever makes it to the market, it will be from a clone-only version. These seeds are not being distributed, only tested by myself on-site. The seeds require scarification to germinate anything above 5%, and about half of the progeny are showing some very odd growth traits including ridiculously short phenos and/or triple cotyledons. So far, the most common pheno I am seeing looks l=just like the MAC1 mom. @mrgrowguy
