Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Colombian Rosé

MOTHER | KUSHYMAN’S 80’S COLOMBIAN GOLD S1 FATHER | PURPLE ZACATECAS IBL MALE The 80’s Colombian Gold was gifted to us from our forum buddy and true OG Kushyman. This hybridised Colombian was passed around during the eighties, selfed by said breeder, with seeds stored in his refrigerator for 20+ years. It is a shorter flowering, stockier, compact plant with better structure than the 70’s Colombian Gold, with the high reflecting this broader leaf influence. This cultivar is said be Highland Colombian Gold NLD X Colombian Gold (shorter flowering pheno). Aromas go the same way as both parents. Highland Golds are famous for their sandalwood incense, frankincense, cedar and pine aromas, with a very peppery taste. Some phenos also express more fruity smells, leaning to orange / citrus). What makes this plant truly special is the high. Even with broader leaves, sedation remains low or even non-existent in most phenotypes. This is very unique trait as it stays true to the original high of Colombians of the 60’s and 70’s, but with a slightly less ‘spacey’ effect. And in all, a true hybridised Colombian that has inherited all of the best attributes of the older Colombians, but with an easy t
