Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Confetti

Confetti is probably the most advanced Italian strain ever, deriving from the selection work of the breeders of TBS Genetics, the first seedbank by birth and by sales in the country. Confetti was born from the crossing of a Tropicanna Cookies F2 phenotype by Oni Seeds crossed with a clone of Mimosa Gelato 25 with great resistance and high production. the F1 between the two plants generates an exceptional hybrid vigor while maintaining a good stability, and the resulting flowers are many, dense and have a new aroma that is felt already from the exit of the pre-flowers!
