Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Courtesy

We have heard you and bring out the Courtesy S1. This Courtesy is an inbred cross of Courtesy. The pheno distribution is not yet clear, as larger tests are just starting. Coincidence played a role in this cross: In an NLX Automatic Grow, a female appeared that was not an automatic but reacted photoperiodically. She continued to grow unimpressed by time and weather. So cuttings were taken from this exceptionally strong female. A compact, strong Owl's Skunk male was chosen to pollinate the NLX-lady. The result of this cross is the limited edition Courtesy. Courtesy grows very homogeneously, meaning 85% of the plants belong to phenotype 1, 15% to phenotype 2. The variety is also suitable for beginners as it is very robust, both indoors and outdoors. It forgives many a grow error. The leaf to flower ratio is great. The high of
