Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Crazy Horse

We crossed our “Black Knight” phenotype of Dark Horse with our Freedom Express male to produce Crazy Horse. An easy to grow, medium-high yielding and resinous strain with White Rhino and Grape Ape in the grandparent lineage. We take off most of the fan leaves before flowering to let more light in for bigger buds. If we don’t do this, lower flowers are wispier and under-developed. Don’t be afraid to feed this one. 19% THC (early cut)
