Chemotype genetics-true
Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Cropolope
Cropolope towers above most photoperiod strains and loves the great outdoors where she can swell up to her full potential. This titan Sativa grows with the stature of a Norwegian Spruce and during flowering, will quickly begin stacking chunky, dense, spear-shaped clusters that look like they are dipped in sugar and tipped with golden deep red hairs. Back crossed with an Original Haze, her colourful background of Columbian, Mexican, Indian and Thai genetics produces an outstanding “daytime” high that is both creative and energetic. These effects are delivered with a complex and indulgent flavour profile comprising of a tropical, almost rotten melon funk on the inhale and a decadent, bitter-sweet chocolate on the exhale, leaving a subtle hint of dark-roasted Arabica coffee in the mouth…THE CROPOHOLICS CHOICE!
