Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Dancing Flame

Dancing Flame is a hybrid of Blue Frost (from Medicinal Organics in Oakland CA) and Gorilla Princess. Finishing in mid October in Northern California, its buds are a mixture of gas/fuel and sweet berry aromas. Flowers are dense and covered in resin, with an outdoor sample testing over 28% THC. Multiple growers have found amazing keeper phenos in this line, with one of them being renamed "Kiwi Strawberry" in Santa Cruz, CA
