Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Dead North

Dead North is an F1 cross of my long time keeper Deadhead OG from Cali Connections and my stud '89 NL5 male. Expect large chunky buds with smells and flavors ranging from garbage funk, to skunky funk, to fruity funk. Some testers have reported melon/mango undertones. The NL5 has added shades of light pinks and purples to the finished buds. Phenos run outdoors in the Appalachian climate have really shined. All had an end fade that blends her into the fall foliage beautifully for the guerrilla grower. They've also shown nice pest and pm resistance
