Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Both complement each other beautifully with melted butter, lacquer, lemon, citrus, solvent-like sharpness, lots of frost and an unbelievable intense high! Not for lightweights or beginner smokers, this will take you for a ride and can certainly induce hours of anxiety in the uninitiated. Be warned!
