Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Diesel Dough
Archive Seeds present Diesel Dough, a cannabis hybrid created by crossing Sour Diesel x Do-Si-Dos, resulting in plants with a faster flowering time and more dense and resinous flowers than the original Sour Diesel line. Combining the unique aroma of the 2005 Sour Diesel clone with the impressive resin production of the Do-Si-Dos (Girl Scout Cookies x Face Off OG Bx1), the Diesel Dough has improved greatly on the original version of Sour Diesel. The influence of the Do-Si-Dos line reduces the flowering time to 75 days, during which Diesel Dough forms sticky buds with large calyxes, completely coated with terpene-rich resin glands. These can be very smelly plants, so the use of a charcoal filter or other anti-odour measures is strongly recommended to control the smell as we grow our own cannabis at home. An Indica/Sativa hybrid with growth traits faithful to Sour/OG lines, Diesel Dough shows a fairly pronounced stretch during the transition to flowering, with plants adopting an open structure and getting fairly tall.
